Palmerstown House PGA National

Situated next to the N7 near Kill, comprising of 800 acres of magnificent coutryside with undulating meadows, mature woodlands and lakes and streams, the PGA National golf course at Palmerstown House is set to take the golfing world by storm.

Designed by Christy O'Connor Jr, the 7,419 yard, par 72, championship course has his stamp in evidence at every turn, especially in the lavish sweep of the fairways and the extensive use of water. And one is always aware of generous space being employed to full advantage. With its impressive bunkering and significant water hazards it is set to become one the great golf courses in Ireland, having already received a vote of confidence with plenty of positive publicity from the golf writing fraternity.

The seriousness of the operation has been further enhanced with the decision by the PGA to entitle it the PGA National Ireland and to base their Irish headquarters there.
This would appear to place the golfcourse in the same league as Gleneagles and the Belfry.
